Welcome

He was standing by the aquarium. As I approached him, I noticed his graceful, deft movements, and the dreamy, remote look in his eye. An aura of eternal attractiveness surrounds him. I start talking about the fish. Instead of acknowledging the comment, or even my presence, he begins rocking back and forth, while continuing to smile. I later come to know that he is autistic.  

I am the voice which speaks their mind. I am the flame whose light reveals a sparkling joy in their apparently dark and distant world. I am the messenger who professes their will..

Hmmm… I don’t really have that much experience with autistic people, but I once had a project where I had to go to NIMHANS (Bangalore) and interview autistic patients… It was a beautiful journey, which enabled me to understand my own shortcomings… I think autistic people can be the most unbiased of all…
